An axial fan is a type of fan that causes gas to flow through it in an axial direction, parallel to the shaft about which the blades rotate. The flow is axial at entry and exit. The Fansel program was developed by Axial Fans Int. to select fans for any operating condition. It is a user friendly tool for both engineers and sales agents to make fan selections and generate the required technical and commercial information. The program also generates fan curves allowing the user to move the design point along the resistance curve to evaluate alternative conditions.
The program will also generate drawings, acoustic data, and vibration transmission calculations. These enhanced features and ease of use make this the most preferred fan selection within today’s fan marketplace. In addition, the Fansel program is available as a module (DLL) that can be incorporated into 3rd party design software, such as air cooled heat exchangers and cooling tower – design software.
