Hi everyone, I'd like to create a dsn pointing to ASA 9.0 database on a remote server. The local PC does not have any Sybase / ASA product installed. 1. Is it possible to create the DSN on this local PC? 2. If so, where can I possibly get the drivers? 3. Any other information on this will be highly appreciated. Can not run SA 9.0.2 64-Bit on W2k8 64-bit
Hi, I installed SQL Anywhere 9.0.2 on Windows 2008 Intel Xeon 64-Bit. Once the install is done, and I rebooted, I try to run Sybase Central, I get the error message: 'The version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.' I get the same for dbeng9.exe or dbisqlg.exe or any executable installed. I then turned to install EBF and strangely enough, the install of the EBF cannot find SQL Anywhere 9. Creating ASA 9 DSN on 64 bit server running 32 bit ASA 9
I have 2 servers. One is 32 bit and the other is 64 bit. They both have 32 bit ASA 9 running on them. The database is on the 32 bit server (as a network server). I'd like to install an application on the 64 bit server referencing the database on the network server. On the 64 bit server, ODBC data sources is not detecting any ASA 9 drivers. I launched 32-bit ODBC Driver Manager (<windows directory> SysWoW64odbcad32.exe) and created a DSN but the application cannot detect it. How can I go round this? Please help. Thanks. pb 9 odbc app not talking to oracle on 64 bit platform
For the past few weeks I have been trying to get our pb9 app (being executed on a 64 bit 2003 server) to talk to a customer's oracle database. In a nutshell (using regmon and filemon), I have discovered that the oracle client, installed odbc info into one set of registry locations, and our pb9 app (or its windows api surrogate) is looking for odbc info in another set of registry locations. Using crude (look in one area and type in another) methods, I have copied all the odbc info from the locations (where it was installed by the oracle client) to the locations where our...
32 bit odbc against 64 bit sqla
I cannot seem to get my 32 bit pb11 app talking thru odbc to my 64 bit sqla11. Which files does pb call when starting to talk with a database thru odbc? Thanks, Doug p.s. 32 bit odbc on 64 bit vista is confusing. for instance, odbcad32 resides in both sysWOW64 and system32. You will need 32 bit client software (even if your database engine is 64 bit). You need to register with the SysWOW64 for 32 bit ODBC driver connections - hmmm could MS make this directory naming more confusing?!?.
